The problem

Fashion inventory is hard: too many SKUs, too many locations.

One style comes in many colours and sizes. One brand runs a central warehouse, regional stock and dozens of stores. Counting with barcodes means scanning item by item, so the data is always behind reality.

01

Stock counts take days

Stores close or extra staff are pulled in to scan every single item.

02

System stock ≠ shelf stock

The system says a size is in stock, but nobody can find it.

03

Wrong picks, short shipments

Manual packing mixes up SKUs and quantities; errors surface after the customer receives the goods.

04

Shrinkage you can't trace

No way to tell whether goods went missing in the warehouse, in transit or in store.

The solution

One partner for tags, hardware and software.

No stitching together tags from one vendor, readers from another and software from a third. VRFID is accountable for the whole system, from the tag to the inventory report.

UHF RFID tags

Stickers applied to hang tags or labels, using EPC Gen2 UHF chips. We print and pre-encode them with your style, colour and size data.

  • Printed and encoded from your SKU data
  • Sized to fit your brand's hang tags
  • Can be applied at the garment factory

Handheld readers

Handheld UHF readers read many tags at once through cartons, polybags and racks; no line of sight needed, unlike barcodes.

  • Bulk reading, no item-by-item scanning
  • Geiger-style search for a single item
  • On-device app included

Inventory software

A handheld app plus desktop software for receiving, shipping, cycle counts and item search, with all data synced in one place.

  • Receive – ship – count – find
  • Multiple warehouses and stores
  • ERP/POS integration as an add-on
How it works

From tag to inventory report, in four steps.

Assess

We review your warehouse and store processes and current ERP, then pick one warehouse or store for a pilot.

Tag at source

Tags are printed, encoded and applied at the garment factory or at goods receipt. Every item gets its own EPC.

Scan and sync

Staff scan with handheld readers at receiving, shipping and stock counts. Data syncs to the software automatically.

Reconcile and report

The software compares what was scanned with what the system expects, and shows the gaps by style, colour, size and location.

Use cases

Where RFID works in a fashion supply chain.

01

Central and regional warehouses

Receive full cartons without opening them and check against the packing list. Ship the right SKUs and quantities to each store.

02

Stores

Fast cycle counts without closing the store. Find the exact colour and size a customer asks for with search mode.

03

Garment factories

Tag items at final packing. Goods leave the factory ready for the brand's warehouse and stores.

04

Supply chain

Follow shipments through each stage: factory, warehouse, transport, store. A foundation for traceability.

Why VRFID

We know garment manufacturing from the inside, not just the hardware.

VRFID was founded by three companies that each cover a different part of the fashion value chain. Together they bring every capability an RFID project needs.

TAV
Garment manufacturer

Viet Nam Task Apparel Technology JSC, making export apparel since 2012 in two factories in Bac Ninh and Nam Dinh. Knows the packing process where RFID tags meet the product.

PNM
Labels and trims

Around 10 years producing labels and trims for export apparel. The base for tag printing, converting and label quality control.

Miagi
Software

An IT company building the RFID inventory software and its connections to customers' ERP systems.

Roadmap to our own tag supply

  1. Phase 1Tags, readers and ERP-integrated software for our first fashion customers.
  2. Phase 2A high-tech RFID tag factory in Vietnam for control over supply and cost.
  3. Phase 3R&D and ODM RFID tags, expanding into retail and logistics.
Who it's for

The two customer groups we serve first.

Vietnamese fashion companies

Brands with warehouses and store chains that need accurate stock for omnichannel selling.

  • Pilot in one warehouse or store
  • Integration with your existing ERP
  • Local implementation team

International fashion brands and startups

Brands producing in Vietnam that want RFID tags applied at the factory, so goods are readable on arrival with no re-tagging.

  • Source tagging at the factory
  • Encoding from your product data
  • We work in English
Pilot programme

Start small, measure, then scale.

We suggest a pilot in one warehouse or one store. You measure stock-count time and inventory accuracy before and after RFID, then decide on a full rollout.

  • Software free for the first 6 months
  • Tags priced per item, software per site
  • ERP integration quoted separately per system

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about RFID in fashion

What is VRFID?

VRFID is an end-to-end RFID solutions company for the fashion industry, based in Vietnam. VRFID supplies UHF RFID tags printed and encoded to order, handheld readers, and inventory software that can integrate with ERP systems. Its founding members are TAV (garment manufacturer), PNM (labels and trims) and Miagi (software).

How is RFID different from barcodes?

Barcodes must be scanned one item at a time and need line of sight. UHF RFID tags are read by radio, so a reader captures many items at once, even inside cartons or polybags. Each tag carries a unique ID for the individual item, not just the SKU.

What standard do VRFID tags use?

VRFID uses passive UHF RFID tags based on the EPC Gen2 standard (ISO/IEC 18000-63), the common standard in fashion retail. Tags are encoded with the brand's style, colour and size data.

Does VRFID software integrate with ERP?

Yes. The software includes a handheld reader app and desktop software for receiving, shipping, stock counts and item search. Connection to your ERP or POS is delivered as a separate package, depending on the system you use.

Can VRFID tag products at the factory for overseas brands?

Yes. With garment manufacturer TAV and label company PNM as founding members, VRFID supports source tagging at the factory for brands producing in Vietnam, so goods are readable as soon as they reach the brand's warehouse.

How is an RFID solution priced?

There are three parts: tags priced per item, readers per device, and software per site. ERP integration is quoted separately. VRFID quotes based on the size of each customer's warehouse and store network.

How do we get started with VRFID?

Request a pilot in one warehouse or one store. VRFID assesses your process, tags the products and provides the readers and software. You measure real results before deciding to scale.

Does VRFID work with international customers?

Yes. VRFID works in English and Vietnamese and serves both Vietnamese fashion companies and international fashion brands and startups producing in Vietnam.
